All Things

“And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.” ROMANS 8:28

I will be upfront and open this post by saying that this scripture has been my hope in so many situations! When I was young in the Spirit, and I didn’t quite have the understanding of this, just repeating it to myself would be my help through the worst pains.

Now, of course, it has been nearly seven years since Father first revealed Himself to me and this scripture is still something that I cling to; albeit in a very different manner now that I have an understanding of it and experience living in it!

I’ll be open, always, and admit that where I am now is so amazing but it took sacrifice to be here! That sacrifice was great and it hurt so very much, but what I have seen my Father work out of it is far greater than most would imagine and— I praise Him, that He has strengthened me and developed me enough in the Spirit now that I simply expect Him to come through, as opposed to being bogged down by things— though that sacrifice was great, and the pain was intense, my God is always going before me and molding things in way that benefit me and His will in my life!

The first thing that we have to learn and come to an understanding of is that God never causes bad things to happen to us! That is something that needs to be set apart from you, rebuked and done away with! It is never His will that you should suffer, in fact He suffered so that He can not only understand your sufferings but also help you through them!

We put such a stigma on our Father when we suggest that any negative thing in our lives is in His will for our lives! If that were the case, He would not be a loving Father; what parent would intentionally cause their child suffering and call it love? He didn’t send us a Comforter so that He could cause us pain and say, “but it’s okay, I sent you a comforter to help you through the hurt I bring on you.” I rebuke that! There is no place for any bad thing in the Lord, and all that He does is righteous and just!

Let’s be real for a moment! I’ll be real with you!

I am blessed to be where I am right now, and He has certainly had His hand in it for the greater part! In order to be here, however, and to work with this wonderful body of the children of light I had to lose the woman that I love more dearly than words can say; I left home, friends, church, and those that had become family and admittedly I did not want to. Father would certainly have blessed my relationship, friendships, work, and life there had I stayed as long as I remained obedient and glorified Him in my life! Where I lay my life down, although there was suffering, He is graceful to turn that around and has quite literally blessed my every step where I am now!

My point? It was not God who put me through that! A decision was made, suffering took place, faith had reign over that suffering and the action on account of that faith has produced a great result! If we were to spend less time complaining about God, or to God, and more time trusting Him we would see a shift in the direction of our lives! No circumstance would be too much, no thing would overtake us, no pain would have place, no suffering would be too great, because we would walk boldly forward knowing without any doubt that our Father and Creator goes before us in all circumstances!

Beloved I urge you to be renewed in the spirit of your mind, to change the way that you think concerning these things! Your God and Father loves you, He values you, and would never wish you harm! In fact, He told us that He knows what He desires for us and that He has “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (JEREMIAH 29:11)

There needs to be a change in the way that we view our Father! That can only happen when we know Him and understand Him! How do we know that we know Him? Well, “we can be sure that we know Him if we obey His commandments,” (1 JOHN 2:3) and in order to do that we absolutely must follow His instruction in which He said “Study this Book of Instruction continually. Meditate on it day and night so you will be sure to obey everything written in it. Only then will you prosper and succeed in all you do.” (JOSHUA 1:8)

Of course we should not focus so intensely on obedience that we forget to have a relationship with Him, but Holy Spirit in us urges us toward obedience in love to our Father because of the sacrifice of the Son! His Word says it best, when Christ said that “If you love me, you will obey my commandments” (JOHN 14:15) and that those commands are to “Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind….’ and ‘Love your neighbor as yourself.'” (MATTHEW 22:37-39) and we know that “we love each other because He loved us first.” (1 JOHN 4:19)

Beloved, He made it so easy for us! The more that we know Him, the more we love Him and the more that we love Him the more we will obey Him because it pleases us to obey our Father Whom we love! It is a daily process, requiring effort and a washing away of yourself! I have quoted these very scriptures many times but I assure you that it is not without purpose! I will not preach fancy words and what sounds good to the ear, rather I will preach Christ crucified because the love of our Father doesn’t require fluff or fanciness it is power for the transforming of lives!

I don’t need to spew fancy words or use an extensive vocabulary; though I would myself, being someone who is big on grammar, prefer them in my own notes. That is not what it takes to save souls! What does it benefit any of us to have great stature among men and women, to speak on a level higher than anyone, to have any talent or gift, and not have love? When we understand that love is our very lifeblood in Him, we will be more apt to abide in that very love in all circumstances; which will urge obedience to Him, patience and kindness with others, love toward everyone, and gentleness no matter the circumstance! Or have we forgotten that “Whoever does not love does not know God, because God is love.” (1 john 4:8)

If we say that we believe His Word and call it truth, knowing that it says that He is love, then we benefit ourselves nothing when we approach any suffering as though God would bring it on us!

I understand that it sounds faithful to say that things are God’s will, and so we’ll face them patiently. I get that! But we do not face any suffering or negative thing patiently because it is God’s will that it happen to us, rather we face them patiently because it isn’t His will! I hope I’m not losing you here! What I mean is that, we know that His will is to prosper us and is only good so then we face any suffering knowing that He is going to come through for us because He is working all things in our favor at all times!

Please, hear my heart here! I do not want any of you to move forward thinking that God would ever intentionally bring you into suffering! Truthfully, He wouldn’t even do it unintentionally! He will never bring you into suffering! It is not in His nature because He is love and love does not cause suffering; rather He sent His Son to take your sufferings and endure them so that He can help you through them, then put them to death on the cross! Still, He didn’t stop there! He sent a Helper, Holy Spirit, to guide you through them in meekness and in patience, so that in all circumstances you will overcome! I want you to know that He is for you, and “If God is for us, who can be against us?” (ROMANS 8:31)

We are the children of light, created in the image of the Most High God! Truly I tell you there is nothing that can stand against you!

Beloved, I urge you again, be patient in seeking! Be joyful in trial! Be hopeful in suffering! Be generous in love! Seek Him diligently, and know Him! You Father is for you, He is so for you! He never has it in His will to do you harm, rather to uplift and prosper you! He is gracious and kind, valuing you above all other things! Don’t underestimate that value! Seek Him and learn to understand your value in Him!

There will be times that suffering comes to you! I will not say, however, that you should worry! Even when suffering does come He is there making it work in your favor because He loves you!

I apologize that these posts carry on for so long, but I write them for the sake of your edification and exhortation because I love each of you dearly! I am looking forward to the day that He gives me a way to make videos again so that I can upload a video with these posts, thereby making it easier on all of you and I expect that it will be soon! I will keep all things in His time!

Bless all of you!
